Message of the CEO of ACCI
Over the years, Afghan women’s contributions have enhanced in all sectors and walks of life. Afghan women constitute an important part of the social, political and economic arena in Afghanistan. Although their level of participation in other sectors such as the political field is yet secured by regulation (e.g. in Parliament); their level of activity within the Private Sector is determined by their own will, efforts and competitiveness and this level is increasing noticeably.
Recognizing the participation of Afghan women in the growth of the private sector, ACCI is publishing the first edition of Afghan Women’s Business Directory. Business directory is published to facilitate the development and progress of women business owners. It will serve as a networking tool for businesswomen and make their businesses more accessible for all interested parties.
I appreciate the cooperation of all entities and individuals who put their efforts in making this Directory. I welcome comments and suggestions for improving the future editions of this Directory. Moreover, I wish to thank the Women Employment Promotion Project (WEPP) of German Technical Cooperation (GTZ), their team’s cooperation, creativity and efforts have made this possible.
